Power Duals or Dresser Duals in 2010 SESG
« on: July 31, 2010, 02:10:33 AM »

Hello, i'm using hi-Output muffler, i'm thinking to but the head pipes too, i don't know wich one choose! the 2-2 (dresser duals) should sound better, and it's black like Hi-Output, but p the PowerDuals should be better performance...

What u think?

i also have some question regarding O2 sensor, in my SESG i have small lambda near gearbox, but in all picture from V&H site i see big O2 sensor near the cylinder head... does someone know something about this?

Thanks.

Fabio, My wife has the same bike as you 2010 sesg.I put on the dresser duals from V&H.She bought the SE slip ons,fat shotz. Her bike runs so smooth and so crisp I am busting my balls trying to make my bike as smooth and seamless as hers. She has the V&H fuel pac. I have the V&H power duals on my bike.A little more quiet than hers but I think its the mufflers. They say that the power duals would make more power than the dresser duals. Both bikes are screamin eagle cvo's.I think my bike 2009 serg has more power than hers.I have rinehart slip ons and tts master tune, still have to do the vtune runs. In my opinion the power duals are the way to go if thats the product you want.If I could do it over I would pick either the x pipe from fullsac or the fuel moto 2-1-2 stainless head pipe,if you can get one.I waited to long for mine and could not wait any longer. So I settled for V&H.Mencia!

Ok, now it's time to post the answer!
I had  all, the bike runs well, i think the most improvment is the hot issue, now the bike is really colder, without cat...
The sound is good, is better then stock pipe, but really too loud.
if run with really low rpm, it's some good, but opening throttle means earthquake: not possible run in euro street! or at least italian one!
i think there's some poor backpressure and a little lost at low, but bike runs good.

I have done some extra baffle, and the bike is better, more low rpm power and reasonable sound... i'm trying to find the best way between loud sound and lost of performances... working on baffle, makes the exhaust sound like stock HD one, really no noise, but totally lost of performances.

I think that if V&H develop a 2 stage baffle, all people in the world will love it, i'm doing it by myself, if i be a factory, in a day a perfect tuneable muffler could be done... the choice is here, develope the perfect exhaust for everyone or make many different exhaust to sell to people?

Work in progress, when i get the best from power VS sound i will post the drawing, so everyone could do the same.

Fabio,

I believe that Vance and Hines make a "quiet baffle" for these mufflers.

Check here under "Accessories", bottom right of page(Part #21905, $28.95 U.S.$):
