2010 SESG Crash Bar - Removing rubber foot rest?
« on: August 30, 2010, 09:15:21 PM »

Has a anyone tried removing the rubber foot rest pads on the 2010 SESG engine guard?  How are they attached?  I would like to remove them to get the clean look on the bar seeing how they are way to short for me.  Any ideas?

There just glued on. Give em a good yank then clean off the residue.

There was another thread about this not long ago, try a search.  I seem to remember a couple people indicating there was an appearance problem if you remove them.

thanks.  Checked out this thread.  Looks like conflicting stories here.  Is it chromed and clean under these things or what?   Removing a good idea or not?

Should be chromed the same as the rest of the bar. Dont know if the adhesive messes up the chrome underneath. Have read of several people having them fall off, so if you take them off and dont like the look I guess you could always just put them back on.  :nixweiss:
