Throttlepak removes hesitation
« on: March 28, 2011, 10:46:20 PM »

I had a bad hesitation with my fly bye wire injection was talking with Drag Specialties rep and he suggested I go and look at the Vance & Hines website about the new Throttlepack. So after thinking about it a little while I ordered one installation is very simple, went for a ride yesterday what a difference the bike runs like a throttle cable equipped bike no more hesitation with instant throttle response. I don't know how many of you have the same problem out their this is a fix.Throttlepak part no.V66001 for 08-11 Touring

I just ordered two of these. One for my CVO Ultra and one for a friends CVO Road Glide. I can't wait to get these. Got them through Eastern performance @ $189 each shipped. I'll report out after road test.

Spend thousands of dollars on a CVO bike and buy a CHEAP TUNER, something is wrong here.

The only people I can think of who would possibly want this latest V&H device would be those who intend to keep their bike stock and never have it tuned.  For those folks, it's a little cheaper than buying a full fledged tuning package like the SEPST, TTS MasterTune, etc..  On the other hand, if one was planning on having the bike tuned eventually, it would basically be a waste of $200.  Kind of like their FuelPak device; probably better than nothing but definitely not the best choice available.

I've got a catless CVO Ultra with an XIED and soon to be Throttlepack. I like long trips, extended warranties and the ability to get my bike out of the dealer excuse radar range for not covering any unforseen warranty repair issues. The Throttlepack and Xied unplug in a matter of minutes. I've been there when you have an issue and need a tow to the nearest dealer and you're 5oo miles away from home. And oh yeah, they don't want to work on my bike because it's modified. Happened more than once and on one occasion I had to have my bike towed 300 miles back home.
Do I think the TTS is a great system....yes. Do I carry a laptop on the road....no.
Does my bike run fine with this set up...yes. Am I paranoid....absolutely!!
It's all good.

I don't want to start a huge debate but Power Commander V will also solve the TBW problems.

Where can that table be found? I can't seem to locate it on the PCV software.

Thanks,
Dave

Ok..installed the V&H Throttle Pack. Easy install. Taking the aircleaner off took the most time. Results....throttle hesitation gone. Took a ride after install and it the difference is remarkable.
