I was inquiring on line about getting a US post office box, and came across this service-

Basically they provide you with a US address to have stuff shipped to. You go pick it up from one of their locations, and they only charge a $5.00 pick up fee (for small parcels, more for bigger ones). There are no other monthly fees, start up fees- nothing. Use it once a year, 100 times a year, whatever- you only pay a small pick up fee.

So you're guaranteed to save on brokerage fees, and depending if/how much you declare on the way back home, you also save paying our 13% sales tax. Also, many US shops (like Dr V-Twin, Phat Perfomance Parts, etc) offer free shipping in the US, but charge full pop when shipping to Canada- this solves that issue as well.

I signed up- I've got a Corbin seat on order, and this will likely save me around $100.00 +. Man, I wish I found this ages ago- I would have saved hundreds over the years.

Just thought my fellow Canucks would like to know about this.

Thanks NS it sounds like a great service    Lucky for me my Son In-law has a box at the UPS store in Buffalo and I get my stuff shipped to his name.

For hose in Southern Alberta, at the Kingsgate/Coutts Crossing, on the American Side their is At The Border Storage. Basically the same services.

Yes the great HST Grab for your friends in BC and Ontario and I think the East Coast.

Wasn't there a time before the GST that you Albertans didn't pay any sales taxes?

Just an update- I went down to Buffalo yesterday to pick up my Corbin Dual Tour from Bay Brokerage, and all it cost me for that big box was an $8.00 fee! So with the low shipping Jenni charged to ship it within the US, it cost me $30.00 US total to receive the box, vs probably $60-$70 for shipping to home, not to mention all the taxes.

This thing is a great service for sure.
