progressive 440's installation

for the FLH the install says to use the shoulder spacer and the 1/2" washer...does anybody who put these on know if the washer goes towards the bike or away from the bike???????????? :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

Normally, the spacer (if needed) goes between the shock and the bike.   If you put the top bolt in, snug, then swing the shock to the lower mount boss,  and the shock should lay next to the boss (you shouldn't have to push the shock over to the mounting boss by much).

I remember you get a lot more washers/spacers with the shocks than you will use/need.
