any updated recomendations on 01 SERG exhaust?
« on: September 15, 2010, 11:35:38 AM »

Hey guys and girls.

Just thinking about doing something with my stock fishtales on my 01.  I now have a powercommander installed and a better intake, but my mechanic wote accross the bottom of the bill " get reinhartte true duel!"  bla bla bla

Bike is running nice, back fires occaisionally, which it did before the power command and air intake also, but anyway, id like to add a little more rumble to the sound.

So, its gotten me thinking what are the best options for this.  I see alot has been written  in the forum and it seems that there are some simple mods like popping out a plug in my muffer that may satisfy me. But im spicifically wondering  what have most 01 owners done  between the different options  such as "slip ons"  or true duels, or mods to my current mufflers. etc.

Also, im hoping to get more involved here because I see this is a great bunch of people!!! thanks.

If you're looking for more performance Vs looks, don't go with true duels.  They lose torque over 2-1-2 or 2 into 1 (being the best performance-wise.)  If you're looking for a deeper rumble, a buddy just bought some Cobra Billet tip Slipons part # 6202...they sound awesome!  If you want the same but on the cheap, buy some late model CVO touring mufflers on this site or ebay and replace the baffles with Fullsacks...equally awesome!
