Road Tech Navigation Interface Module Problem
« on: October 09, 2010, 07:35:07 PM »

I bought the Road Tech Navigation Interface module and had the local Harley dealer install it. When I got home, noticed it was not connected properly and spent all day while they tried to get it to work. No luck. I also have Hawg Wired stereo on my bike and the mechanic said it may not work with the Hawg Wired on the radio. Any advice on how to make the interface function?

I believe the mech is correct. The Nav module is designed for the Harmon Kardon Radio only as far as I know.

As much trouble that I (and others) have had getting the NIM to work on our Harmon Kardon systems, I am not sure it was "designed" to fit anything properly.

Yep, put your HK head unit back in and the interface will work.  It is a proprietary interface.  Apparently it won't even work with the standard Garmin Zumo 660, it has to be the Road Tech 660.  Works as advertised on my SEURG.
