Mapsource/Ride Planner 665 question
« on: October 11, 2010, 08:50:17 PM »

I exported a map from HD Ride Planner in ".gpx" format to my Road Tech 665.  Each of the waypoints were imported as separate routes.  For a 10 waypoint route, I ended up w/ 10 routes.  I then imported all 10 to Mapsource thinking I could combine them into a single map.  Can't figure out how to do that either.  Advice much appreciated.

Also, if there's a good website for GPS info, including POI's and maps, would appreciate recommendation.

Thanks.

A good resource for Zumo's (other then here :D) is www.zumoforums.com. Your best bet is going to learn Mapsource as it is most compatible with the Zumo. Check out this link for help with that - Mapsource Tutorial (it's for an older version of Mapsource but it will give you the basics). Once you learn how to use/manipulate Mapsource it's as good if not better then using the H-D Planner.

Anytime I've imported routes f/ HD I've always used the "manual" option, opened them in Mapsource, then downloaded to the GPS. Never tried the "automatic" option.
