Trying to decide whether to buy the roadtech handle bar mount xm kit or the boom audio xm radio kit and trying to get some input.250.00 compared to 499.00

No brainer bu the Boom XM Module. I just installed the XM module on my SG... its awesome. With the XM module you will need to buy the overlay harness as well as the antenna mount so it ain't cheap. I would recommend the XM module over the road tech because of the ease of use and it doesn't clutter the handle bar.

If you're not in a hurry you can ussually pick one up on one of the forums or ebay or you can call Jenni at Tri County and you get it 20% off....

I agree.  More expensive but much cleaner.  Mine works great.

I have had both units. Only difference is the look, Module is hidden and intergrated into HK unit. other one plugs into the aux port. Equal in sound/operation etc. Cost/Looks is the only difference. I went for looks this time. Both come with antenna, need the bracket that goes inside fairing for both ($5 item) but module needs the wiring overlay ($130).
