« on: October 29, 2010, 01:23:54 PM »

Hello All

I just picked up a Blue Flame bike and I was lookign for a little assistance

First question- did this bike come with forward controls or mid only?
Second- anyone have any parts or know of a good source? lots of stuff looks like it was replaced
lastly- I need some pics of the bikes, blue or green, that show factory builds for seats, pipes, controls, etc. i need to get some odes of what she should look like so i can get her as close as possible to out of the box

appreciate the help

HD-CVO

Welcome to the site......

1st have you read the THREAD in this section talking about trying locate all 64 blue flame FXR3's, if not lol they will find yoy lol you can take a peek at that THREAD when you have a moment or two.

2nd you "may" want to pick up a FXR2 & FXR3 (They are combined) and a FXR3 specific parts manual, first "tools" you should own.

3rd check out a specific THREAD located in this Section that will show diffetent photos of the FXR2's, FXR3's, and FXR4's.  This particular THREAD might be on page 2 or page 3 or page 4 or possibly later but easy to find.

4th  We all here enjoy reading about how you found your FXR3 so give us the story and why you chose an FXR as well.

5th there are some nice people here always willing to help so hope you hang in here for awhile.

Regards,

Tim

thanks for the welcome- Ihave been here since 2008 when I got my 1st CVO - a 2008 FXDSE2

I got the second in 2009- my 2001 FXDWG2

this one was an accident- I was wokrking at a job and saw an add for a bike for sale. The description sounded like a blue flame so I checked it out- so now I have three in three years

makes me wonder what I have to do in 2011
