American Custom Exhaust Question?
« on: October 31, 2010, 06:56:47 PM »

Has anyone used the header or slip-on mufflers from American Custom?  you can't beat the price, usually i'm a believer in you get what you pay for... but they don't work through dealers only direct to the public.  Their Powerflex header is $169 and their slip on's $179.

I'm curious if anyone has used them, heard of them, knows about them... and what their experience was like.

Yes I'm still waying all of my options on re-working the exhaust.  I had basically decided on the Rinehart true duals and the new Rinehart 4" slip-ons with chrome tips.... but i stumbled across American Custom... so it got me thinking.

My neighbor had them do his pipes basically removed the baffles and had the rings installed to use their baffles. He loves it and it sounds great without baffles on his 08 Ultra.

No popping or issues and nice deep tone not as loud as I expected either. He is now inclined not to buy the baffles. Was around $100 and shipping

yeah I called American Customs today, talked with Eddie, he said that their Power Flex headers is the stock header with the CAT removed.  they go in break the weld remove the CAT completely cleaning everything out and reweld it all back.  So for $170 plus shipping its an affordable option than buying other headers.  still trying to decide.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.
