California Side Car trike kit is a very good one. Independent suspension for probably the best handling. My buddy did one on the CVO Ultra Burnt Amber. He has $70,000 in his.

Just saw one done in colbalt blue w/ diamond flake.  So nice. The owner said she'd had it on the Dragon and could run with anyone with the Ind. suspension.  ;) spyder

Did it look like this?  This is a California Sidecar conversion.  I've seen them up close.  They're about a foot wider than HD's Trike and, in my opinion, nicer looking.  Woodstock Harley Davidson in Woodstock, IL is now a dealer for California Sidecar.  They say that they handle much better than the HD version.  Since I haven't seen a color scheme that I like better than the '05 FLHTCSE2's Sunrise Yellow Pearl, I would definitely go this route...

yes.  Very nice looking and I believe the blue one I saw had more ground effects forward of the rear wheels.  Much wider due to the Ind. suspension.  If I were going 3 wheels, this would be the way (so far). 8)  har.  spyder

I haven't tried the Harley offering trikes, but did ride one of the top-of-the-line after market Ultra Glide versions.
Did not like the steering and front-end shake. (see below)

Take a look at the following web site: http://www.landingear.com
These guys may have something here!

ive seen folks with luggage in the sidecar and the rider on back

the issue is that the wt in the sidecar has be be MORE than the wt on the back or it gets real unstable real fast.. the other issue is rear tire capability its real easy to overload the rear tire if the sidecar is heavy and a rear passenger is on.

the really nice part of a sidecar is that its more stabile than a trike - but harder to learn - and the ride of the car is so plush that my wife with a really bad back can ride all day and not be sore.

with a sidecar you can really get on the brakes in a turn - with a trike you have to be careful braking hard in a turn..
