Front Wheel 09 SERG
« on: December 19, 2010, 11:21:33 AM »

Can anyone help me? I removed the front wheel and had the tire changed. When I put the wheel back on the bike I now have a gap between the spacer and the chrome wheel that I did not have before. I don't think I am missing any parts. Should I force the forks together with the axle bolt, does it need that much torque?

if all spacers and abs sensor are right the last step is to push right fork slider in making sure it contacts external spacer then tighten axle holder nuts to 132-180 in-lbs.

How big is the gap? 1/16", 1/2", more?  Should be a spacer outboard on each side that sits flush against the bearing inner race.  The axle nut is torqued to 60-65 ft-lbs.Then

If you have ABS, make sure the wheel rotation is correct (ABS bearing on proper side), and the ABS sensor is aligned properly.
