Backrest besides tour pak
« on: August 24, 2010, 11:54:50 AM »

Anyone using a different back rest? My wife wants something so she can actually lean up against it for a more comfortable ride. Any ideas? :confused5: She loves to ride with me and I want her to be comfortable. :bananarock:

the small backrest in front of the tourpak works well for my gf.  The other day she was thinking it may be better if it was moved forward a couple inches but seems to work well on longer (500 or so mile) trips.

Actually when mounting my tour pak I noticed that it had two mounting positions. One forward and one back further. I mounted mine all the way back. Wife seems to like it.

There are a couple of other sissy bar accessories available with different pads if you don't want the tour pak. Take a look at Tri-County's website.

Sorry about that. You want to deal with Jenni there. She'll give you a 20% discount on parts. They're great to deal with. Here's the page with the backrests.

Just bought a 2010 conV in crimson. The wife hated the stock backrest. Got two guys involved at my local dealer and we came up with the 14" pillion off a fatboy and a 9" backrest off a heritage. Both fit like a glove and the wife is much happier. The sissy bar is a full 6" taller than the stock, perfect for passengers. I just swap it to the small one or leave if off altogether when I ride solo...........
Now I just have to put passenger floorboards on it and she will be perfectly happy with the new ride......
