2003 SE Deuce - Stock Air fiter " free flowing?
« on: November 26, 2010, 12:31:28 PM »

Is the stock air filter set-up on my FXSTDSE Deuce considered as free flowing as the Screaming Eagle kit? Also looking to add a Power Commande III in the spring. Are any reflashes good to get before getting it Dyno tuned with the PCIII installed? Thanks everyone. Kevin

Is the stock A/C closed with the breathing ports at the bottom front?  If so, the SE or some other more free flowing unit with the built-in velocity stack in the backing plate will help.  Also, if you're going to ride the bike before you get it tuned after installing new components:pipes, breather, etc, probably best to grab a map from PC's website closest to your configuration.  PC claims(and others, too) that with the correct canned map, you can get 95-98% optimized.

Hope this helps....

Looking at the stock air cleaner it is very open behind the stock cover. I picked up a pair of SE Pro II slip ons and will be installing a PC from Fuelmoto in the spring. I will have them ;D Dynotune it as they did my bagger with really great results!
