I'd be checking your local laws if I were you.

I have run dental mirrors on bikes before and when pulled over gotten by with it as at that time there was no minimum size in Ohio.  Cop was not happy but nothing he could do about it.

:2vrolijk_21:     I didn't see a mention of a location other than USA; some of this stuff varies by state.  Best answer, check with your state police.  Actually, the best answer is to go with the maximum visibility option for safety, and don't worry about looking "cool".

Personally I think two would be  #1  safer and  #2 would look more balanced out than a single

Seems only one......here is the section out of WI Title 347 (Vehicle Code), there is more to the section but it pertains to buses.

347.40 Mirrors. (1) No person shall operate any motor
vehicle upon a highway unless such vehicle is equipped with a
mirror so located as to reflect to the operator a view of the roadway
for a distance of 200 feet to the rear of such vehicle.

I believe that the mirror size is dictated in square inches in most states, much like reflectors are. Should be able to find specifications through the DOT.

normally one, mounted on the left side. Just a question for you though. The turn signals barely clear the tank, how are you going to clear the mirror?

Take the time and do the research. each state is different. You should be able to find your states statutes on vehicle laws on the internet. Indiana has theres posted for anyone to read. While looking this up you want to look for vehicle equipment. You will be surprised on how much bad information you have been given through out your driving life
