I had a discover card years ago.  It was one of the fancy ones with a annual fee.  I got tired of paying the fee and switched it to a no fee discover card.  They cut my limit to 10% of what I had with the previous discover card, which I promptly hit the first week.  I called them up and asked them what gives???  I was told that the other discover card is a different division and the 2 divisions don't interconnect!!??  WTF???!!!  They wouldn't give me the same limit I had with the original discover card.  Needless to say, I closed the account and have never had another discover card.  Even now, in my own business, I'm proud to say "I don't accept discover!"
