I had been looking at units similar to these on and off for a while.  One day last week I found this advertised on Kijiji...only 5 km from my house.  It is made in Denmark, weights less that 260 pounds, made from AC aluminum.  It sleeps two.  It has been to California twice, the Atlantic coast, and the arctic circle twice as well.  From the time my butt is out of the seat till i am under cover is less than 20 seconds.  You sleep off the ground, has usable luggage areas.  New the unit is worth $8000, a fiberglass copy from Leesure-lite is $5400... and I paid $1400.  Getting it painted to match the Road Glide.  It was pulled by a 80's 4 cyl Goldwing 1200 with no problems, so I suspect mine will have no problems with it

Now to start planning some trips to visit all my American Cousins

Any pix of it set up yer Gank  :nixweiss: oops didn't go back to the origional post to see the new pix,  Very cool

is the standup shower and galley kitchen in another room?  :P

Those are perfect for the long trips to keep expenses down.  I could see myself doing it once, perhaps twice.  I'm looking for a hot shower or swimming pool at the end of days ride now.  BYW, I had an 80's 1200 goldwing.  It had plenty of power to pull something like that.

Problem solved!!

Well I am not a big camper... been there done that (27 years of that to be accurate)
But the idea of a small camper for those weekend parties, or the every other night where you dont want to use a hotel... kinda neat.

I already have 5 weekends booked using it, where I dont have to use a damn tent .... so its quickly paying for itself

Plus my son now wants to borrow it for his weekends with the GF... told him to get his own mattress... I dont want to smell that 20 year old funk

If you stay at KOA's (Campgrounds of America) you will have clean hot showers, swimming pool, laundry and a country store. This is a great way to travel and meet nice folks while your at it. Great find and if you find yourself in SoCal we always have a cold one ready, enjoy.  Doc

And if you go to the KOA’s join their rewards program. The discount you receive lowers the price to e along the lines of non KOA campgrounds. KOA amenities are usually very good. We like them for the animal facilities.

what other brands are worth looking at? i am real interested in learning more about them. camp all the time with my kids and this would add a lot of functionality and open us up to places we may not have gone.

appreciate any thoughts

one quick question - does the three wheels give any more support to the two up front? sorry, never had a trailer?

best

Nice trailer for a very nice price.

Kind of like a Time Out trailer.  It can be pouring rain outside and you're still high and dry.  A Temperpedic mattress and you're good to go.....  http://timeouttrailers.org/campingtrailers.aspx
