« on: March 07, 2011, 10:50:45 AM »

Can anyone explain the stage levels and what they mean, is there a common standard among different system(s) manufacturers? Ie air filter and housings, tuners, etc?? :confused5:  :nixweiss: ??? :-\

Basically, Stage 1 is external mods and usually consists of a higher flow air cleaner, higher flow exhaust, and tuning of the EFI or carb to provide the proper amount of fuel to match the increased air flow.  Stage II includes those items and bolt-in cams.  Then of course you can go further, with Stage III and Stage IV involving things like head work and more radical cams.
