I'm trying to come up with ideas on painting my new Roadstar to match the paint pattern on my 11 Ultra.  Anyone have pictures of their trailer painted to match their 10 or 11 Untra?

Tommy-

I'm cheap, just have the plain nice black one like you but is a 2+2 so can't help on the paint..   :cherry:

One thought-if you are still at bike week, pay extra and get their powder coated wheels or chrome.  Their stock wheels start to turn blackish after a short while and you can't really polish-type of cheap metal they are I guess.  FWIW..

Personally, I think it looks great as is (other than I'd probably do one of the wheel options Bob is talking about).  The whole flame theme on the bike kind of makes it hard to carry through the sides of that style trailer, unless you painted the whole trailer the Rio Red color, then put the Black Ember flames running from the sides of the front, then over the top of the fenders...paint the very front of the trailer like the very front of the fender of the bike is, and do the same to carry the rear look of the bike on the rear end of the trailer.   :nixweiss:

The Black Ember paint is nice when it's out in the sun...otherwise it just looks black to me (my RG is the same colors, I think)

Since the wheels on the bike are not all chrome, it might look sharp to have the black powder coated wheels on the trailer, though I haven't seen them in person.

Yep, I stepped up and got the silver (they look gray) powder coated wheels, but after looking at them in the attached pic I called Bushtec and they said I could swap them out for the black wheels (going to send them back next week).  The trailer had the standard wheels on it when I first looked at it and they were already pitted!

If you have a fast signs or a local sign shop that can do the computer generated design and cut it in tape you will save a ton and it is removable if you change rides.

I bought a black legend to go with the 04 that is orange & black but pull it mostly behind the 08 now which is red so, but have no intentions of painting it to match.  Several members have painted theres to match suprised they haven't chimed in.

If you go fast the flames will extend to the trailer as you go down the hiway. I have  black & silver Legend. I plan on leaving it as it is.

I haven't purchased the hitch or wiring harness as of yet. Can you give me some insight on connecting the wiring harness to the 2011 CVO. I have 4 & 5 wire harness  presently wired to an 1989 FLTC. I'm planning on installing an  MC hitch. Does anybody have any input on this subject?  Thanks
