Well well well......... I must say, I am surprised  ???

Congratulations Chip and I hope you get more miles and a less frustration out of New Blue.

Looking forward to seeing you on the trail.

If you don't mind me asking did you get a fair trade ?????  I am curious because I have fallen for the New Street Glide

Chip,

Congrats on the new scoot, saw one yesterday and the pictures do it no justice, much better looking than the Red/Black SE Ultra....

So Chip...  What prompted you to buy another 110?

Good question.
Some may think I was trading one 110 problem for another.
On a site with 14K plus members I think there are very few (less than 10 I guess) that have put 50K miles on their 09 110.
Putting on as many miles as I did a year really test the reliability of a motor. My 09 SEUC was down for 9 days out of 870 due to 110 issues.
There were two main issues with my 110, lifters and a valve guide issue. I believe the valve guide slipping caused the lifter issue.
I also think and hope that will not be a concern on the 2011.

No matter how upset I was at the Motor Company, my dealer, Harley Davidson of Charlotte always made things right. I didn't just buy another 110, I bought another 110 from H-D of Charlotte. And for the next two years they will take care of me just like in the past. I may complain about this new one but my dealer always steps up and takes care of any issue.
To me that reason is the strongest reason for buying a new SE to me.
Maybe I'm lucky to have such a good dealer but they were good before I came along.
So in two years and 40K miles from now I may buy another or I may not.

Congrats Chip.  That's the only one I've seen that's given me thoughts of pulling the trigger again, but I'm just not getting the time to ride that much anymore.  I'm still stuck at 30,000 miles.  Maybe I'll be ready when the 2013's come out also.

By 2013, the 110 may be history as the MOCO may usher in the 120R into the CVO line. If I'm correct, the 110 motor has been the longest lasting motor in the CVO line up to date - once its perfected (hopefully 2012), it will be replaced and then we start all over again with a new motor to beta test and the 120R is the most likely candidate.

Just saying..............

Ahhhh Dave, make time to ride.
You have a place down here to stay.
Put some miles on that bike, it will make you feel better.

Trailer has been sold!

Thanks for the messages.

Chip,

 Congratulations on the new bike!

Applying the math formula's you've taught us when evaluating ones assets (see: Blue SERG for sale $80k range... maybe) between the bike traded and the trailer sale you must have pocketed ~$41,222.55 and the new bike after all was said and done.  :idea2:

They'll surely boost the Mod Fund, spent wisely you may be ready to give ol JCZ a good run for the "MOD Father" title.

Enjoy and ride safe,

Thanks for the congrats, it is a nice bike.
As far as JCZ, he has always set the bar.
We can only strive to follow in his shadow.
What can I say, he has a beautiful blue bike also.
