Jerry and Wayne let me take a stab at this P&A fuse dilemma. Know one will give you any good information on one or the other in 07 when I had the wants to know. As the dealer rollout my 08 serk out of the box, 245, I had them to install the flush mount gas cap and gauge. Therefore the service mechanics knew where to plug things. At the same time I purchased the handle bar switch box with digital clock on the left and the Road Tech HA90 MP3/WMA Player on the right. The instructions on the electronic clock and player required using the P&A (15amp) empty slot for connection to the electrical circuit systems. This scared the hell-out of me, there were know instruction to do this. Finally I got the courage to take on the challenge when I notice that it was wired. The service mechanic wired the flush mount gas gauge to it and plugged a 15amp fuse to it. I soldered to that wire and all has worked great sense 10/2007. FYI, the digital clock is continuous memory, which means with the bike switch in the off position I can press a button and it displays the current time. If this is correct the analog gauge is continuous memory with switch-off.
Another mechanic at the dealership advised me not to use those circuit options, because lay people did not have his knowledge add options to their bikes themselves. He even unplugged my lights and stereo connected to the light gray ACC switch, because he said it will cause problem. Everything has work perfect sense 10/2007.
