Zumo 660 bluetooth to Harley radio
« on: April 13, 2011, 12:03:31 PM »

With all the electronic gadgets out there has anyone found a reliable way of using the factory installed Zumo 660 to place a call using the Harley radio and helmet hedset? I have tried a few bluetooth helmets and I have given up on them. They seem to work well on short runs but when touring for 10 - 16 hours a day the batteries are always dead when you need them. Im trying to find a way to pair my phone with the zumo660 then utilize the built in intercom, cb, radio headset to talk and hear. I can pair with the zumo and make calls using the built in zumo mic while standing still but at 60 mph thats worthless. I have built in turn by turn directions from the zumo to the helmet so there has to be a way of using the helmet mic to talk and the helmet speakers to hear. The only device that I have found is the Bomm (www.HDBOMM.com) but I have not used it yet and was wondering if anyone else has or if they know of anyting else out there that will work.
Thanks,
Bruce

The H-D Bomm will do what you are trying to do.

 :) :) :)

Cellset from Kennedy Technologies allows full use of the Harley XM, CB, FM, MP3, CD while using the intercom function to talk to the Garmin.

One of the best add-ons on my bike.  Don't have to rewire the AUX port or have a cable run to the AUX port external.

Best add-on I have on my three prior bikes.

It is a helmet microphone to GPS interface. It allows you to use the helmet microphone to talk on a cell phone while riding via the GPS's Bluetooth phone function.
