Feedback about "DEEMEED" bags
« on: April 20, 2011, 03:53:08 PM »

Hello,

Does anybody have a usage feedback regarding the bags produced by "DEEMEED", in particular this one http://deemeed.com/dis_m.php ?

Is it worth it? Durable? Practical?

What alternative would you recommend?

Thank you in advance

Greetings    Laurent

Don't know anything about the one's you're looking at, but would suggest you take a look at these:  http://www.roadreadybags.com/home.html

Hi Laurent,

My wife has the Large Discovery bag, which she uses on her street glide, mounted with a sissy bar.

I have the large Explorer roll bag which i use on my Springer, I dont have a sissy bar,I also have the kuryakin Grantraveller bag which I strap it down to my fender rack with the Deemeed bag sitting on the pillion seat. Similar to this photo!

We have had them both a couple of years now, we are both very happy with them, my wife actually lost the rain cover while travelling on a French Paege motorway, we met the Deemeed guys at a rally in England, she asked them if she could buy a replacement rain cover but they just handed one over to her free of charge but said they would charge her double if she lost it again, lol and then we drank sone Polish liquer Schnapps
We will be taking both bags with us on our USA trip next month.

We are both very happy with the functionality and qualit of the bags and would buy them again!

Be aware that there are some vendors that sell an almost identical product, (I guess copy right infringed) which seem to be slightly inferior in my opinion.

The Polish guys attend many European rallies and usually other a great rally discount, especially if you have spoken to them a few times at length about there product during the afternoon, go away and think about it, then go visit them again later in the evening when they have had a few more drinks to get a great discount if you and your friend both decide to to buy there products. Do wait to long as many times they do run out of stock at the rallies.

I dont think these bags have been sold outside of Europe as yet!

Thank you for your feedback.

Not easy to find one which will fit my v-shape sissy without luggage rack

Happy Easter!

You probably have read about the Fully adjustable Deemeed strap system, you could have the top strap set up to small sissy bar and the lower strap to medium, I think there system could work on your bike, I would guess they will be at the Euro Festival in May, if you are going take your bike to there stand and try there bags onsite.
