James Staples
« on: June 20, 2011, 01:40:57 PM »

It is my sad duty to report the loss of a riding brother...James Staples, a retired DC Police Officer passed away on Thursday after being hospitalized from an accident involving a possible drunk driver hitting him from behind while he was riding. James had been working at 401 Mass Avenue as a Security Guard, and has left many friends touched by his presence. May we all pray for the loss of our brother and that the friends and family find comfort in prayer and remembrance of a wonderful soul...

I wish I had known him, he was a friend of my wife from work...she is just devastated. She got to work this morning and e-mailed me that she broke into tears going through the check point and realizing he will never be there again. It is such a helpless feeling when someone you love is sad...the only words I could send back to her were  "I am so sorry baby…I honestly feel your sadness, share in it. Know that he is now in Heaven with our Father, and he wishes you not to mourn his passing, but to rejoice in his new birth." I only hope the family have someone to lean on...
