iPhone4
« on: March 30, 2011, 12:27:38 AM »

Any opinions on getting the iphone4 at Verizon.  I heard the 5 might be coming this summer, but nobody knows for sure, and it might not run on 4g anyway.

I would wait for the iPhone 5. Even if it isn't 4G it will be better than the iPhone 4.  Verizon and Apple would be stupid if it weren't 4G.  The Android platform is growing and Apple will want to stem the tide.

it could be a longer wait than expected  ;)

Another thought: it took from June 2010 to Feb 2011 until the last mayor bugs got cured and important features and accessories became availiable (i.e. .pdf-tool in iBooks, Griffin Survivor hardcase just to name some). So if the sales of iPhone 5 starts in September 2011 it may take until April/May 2012 until it's really ready for heavy duty ...

You wouldn't buy one of the first of a new Harley engine, would you  ::)

Got the iPhone 4 from Verizon the day they were available. Very happy with the phone. I would have waited for the 5 because I want 4G but current plan is to use the 4 until the 5 comes out and give the 4 to my wife to replace her 3Gs. She isn't as interested in the bleeding edge stuff as I am. I'm willing to put up with some minor inconveniences to use what's new. If you can wait for the 5, that's what I would have done if I hadn't had a workable plan b.
