One of the police officers involved has passed away.

He is the second Honolulu PD to be killed this week.

Obviously a different accident. You can see that they are completely different areas if you look at the surroundings.

Yup, I pasted the wrong link.

One of the officers involved with the motorcade did pass, internal injuries. My wife told me two officers were killed and I grabbed the wrong link when I did my search.

I would imagine an inquiry will be in order if the post by 07 CVO is correct. 65mph in the rain and 3 abreast on a single lane 35mph posted speed limit!! Wonder who put them in that jeapordy >:(.

IMA29 - as you know living here in Hawaii, no one is going to roger up to taking faul for the accident. I am sure the practice went fine and looked really cool and impressive, but no one is going to take the blame for putting the officers in the 3-wide formation let alone dictate allowing the excessive speed. I have been informed the the President was running about 40 minutes late prior to the accident and I am sure they were rtying to make up 30 seconds onthe long 4 mile commute from Perl Harbor to Hickam Officers club.
