I went to my local dealer today to p/u a quart of amsoil and was told they don't carry it anymore because the shipping was to much. I googled local reps and got in touch with a guy that wants me to pay 20 bucks and sell me it at wholesale. Anybody else have an issue with getting amsoil?

legionrider, you can join their authorized preferred customer group for about $20.00. If you order several products the shipping costs make it worth while. My local HD dealer sells it for $11.85 per qt. for the 60WT. Synthetic. If I order it thru Amsoil. I pay about $8.50 per qt. plus shipping. If you can get a decent sized order it will pay off. Amsoil phone no. is 800-777-7094. They also sell oil filters/gear oil/air filters and Mother's brand polishing products plus a lot of other car products. CAHDBIKER

the $20,  is to become a member for a year.

for $10, you can join for 6 months.

thats what I did,  then I ordered a couple of cases.

if price goes up,  I'm still set for awhile.

This is exactly why I don't use Amsoil.  Great product, but not exactly easy to find.  Yes, you can do the "member" thing and order a large quantity.  Doesn't do you much good if you need it while on the road and your stash is back home in the garage.

amsoil, good product but marketing is like Amway.  Why don't they just put it in all the auto parts stores, walmarts and dollar stores like Mobil 1? It may be a good oil but not so much better than Mobil 1 that I'm going to go through a hassle searching for it. JMO

Just found some at my Local Ace Hardware Store, they said they are testing it out here in Wesley Chapel Florida & will sell at all stores if it goes well. $10.29 a quart & I get 15% off since I own a business in the same shopping center. They also sell Amsoil Chrome Motorcycle filters.
