What MP3 Player do you use ?
« on: May 16, 2011, 09:44:09 AM »

I am going to try out my aux input on the stock raidio.  I have a Sandisk Clip that works Great but I cant read it very well.  I was thinking of buying one just for the FLHTCUSE.  Any recommendations?  and why

Thanks

A lot of gps's have MP3 capability and some will work wireless with a FM transmitter or plugged into your radio. Its nice to have multifunction capabilities. Doc

I am bumping my own thread.
Thanks Doc  I love your AV..!!!
I am looking at a Zune 16GB HD player, it has Wi-Fi I think this could be Great for checking weather at a hot spot like Micky D's or Starbucks.
I am sure more riders have used MP3's I would like to hear about experiences.
I like the Zumo but I have GPS built in and one from my RK.
Not sure what I'll do

Don't you have the Road Tech Nav system on your bike?  There is an MP3 player in the unit that works well?

we have the same bike, same year.  If yours came with the Zumo Road Tech 660, you have a built in MP3 player.  Get yourself a 8MB SD card and you can load 1,250 songs in MP3 format.  The card pops out from behind the battery.  Look at your owners manual and you will see how to create playlists (pain in the ass) too.  Good Luck

Update.  I got out for a ride between rain storms this Sunday.  My Radio or CD player plays MP3 files works great!  I had just bought a Boom headset off Ebay and tested that too, I am very happy with this setup the fidelity could be better but I would rate it as good.  I had used noise isolating earbuds on my Road King this Boom setup is not as good with the music, but on the plus side you can hear more around you better, and the convince of adjusting the volume or changing the channel is AWSOME!!  I was clicking from XM to AM Rockies game, The Weather band, and the CD player!  All with a touch of a button.  I still need to test the CB and see how it works.

I saw some threads about this a while back.  I think your bike package is different that mine.  I do not have a Zumo 660.  I have Navigation in the radio system with voice turn by turn and no screen.  Is your Zumo 660 a separate device mounted on the handle bar?  I had used a Garmin 550 on my Road King I liked it.  I might upgrade in time, I want to use what I have to see if it will work for me.  I do know that I miss the color screen with speed and distance and map as I ride.
Thanks for chipping in it all helps..*S

Oh, sorry, i thougt we had the same set up different color.  If thats the case, I would buy a used Ipod nano on ebay for $70 and a bracket for the handle bars and plug it into my auxiliary plug on the radio.  Thats what I did on my 2007 for 3 years?  Good luck
