Why no sounds
« on: May 30, 2011, 06:29:14 AM »

Hey all, I just got back from D.C great was weather. My issue is with my radio. I have the zumo 665 and the GPS interface also the ipod module installed. Now I just noticed that the for no reason the sound would stop coming out of the speakers. I know you would say that's what the interface is for. But the GPS is just in map view with no destination. I would just have the move the rocker switch out of speaker then back and you can hear it thur the speakers. I put on the head set and I don't have this issue it only happens in speaker.

That symptom is indicative of defect with the main board.
It will unfortunately get progressively worse with heat and vibration until the audio wont come back.
Headphones are unaffected...different circuit in a different location.

That would be a warranty issue.

Rear aux would void the warranty.
If we did the work, we can return it to the original configuration and you can submit it for warranty.
