BLUU has the same symptons as what your thread discribes. I to have a 09 SG to fall back on while BLUU is in the Black Hole.

Since early November?  Good godalmighty......

November 21st actually....

Trying to get anything during the holidays here sucks azz... then the dealer is backlogged with work... sigh... at least its on the table now... I'm wondering if I should have pulled the heads and sent them for mild work back in NOV.... then we would have discovered these issues then.. I hesitated because I "thought" the bike would be done quickly....

Sent you a PM...

good info but you might want to post for all to see

I have, but dont need to ride Momma's new Road King Classic (103) but I dont want to clean it if it gets dirty...

Good luck with your scoot... there seem to be a growing number of lifter failures on the higher mile bikes...

... So... the heads are off to install the cometic .030 gaskets... lots of carbon found... dealer will replace valve guide/seals..... and of course, they dont have the parts in stock...

So.... parts normally arrive Wednesday of Thursday here... so it sits... longer.. getting dustier...

This keeps up I'm buying a Gold Wing!

Now.... Saturday made 2 years of ownership.. the factory warranty has run out... but I do have the ESP... lets see how it goes...

I played a little bit on the way to work.. the roads were clear and the skies were blue....

Bike ran fine.. but occasionally on startup, I hear what sounds like a lifter tick.... which goes away after a short run... so it appears more an anomaly than a problem.... we'll see what happens when I switch from the Syn3 back to Amsoil.....

New update:

26,090 miles.. time for tires, brakes, and oil change... (remember I had switched to Syn3 to see the difference...)

Now... Unless I see oil leaking, I dont feel the need to check on a mid 20K bike... but, the bike was down almost 2 quarts in 2500 miles. Not a good thing...

Who was the contact at Axtell for pistons and jugs?..   :nixweiss:

Thanks Unbalanced...

This chit is getting old... I'm on the fence about having HD replace the jugs and pistons or starting all over again with a new build including cases and going flat-out with it...

Anyone do a pro-charger on a 131 yet?  :coolblue:
