Very sad pictures. I stayed one night in Joplin on May 1 and met only nice and friendly people.

I was coming home from the shop Sat. evening, and they wouldn't let me go through Joplin so rerouted through Carthage, which is about 8 miles away. You wouldn't even know anything had happened in Joplin by riding through Carthage.

One of my patients was delivering Rx to a nursing home when the tornado hit.  He was completely buried, but managed to dig his way out as well as help some old folks out as well.  Good job John.

Very sad.

I lived in Joplin form 1958 to 1960.

Both of my parents were born in Joplin lived there until Dad went to the Korean war in 1952.  Lots of relatives still living there.  None were in the path of the tornado.
