2011 Street Glide Black/Kryptonite - Exhaust Question
« on: June 06, 2011, 07:59:13 PM »

I traded my 2008 Dyna CVO in last week for the 2011 Street Glide CVO and I am loving this bike!
I browsed through the forums but couldn't find an answer to this question...

If I swap out the stock exhaust pipes for the Rinehart 4" Slip on's, will the stock end caps fit on the Rinehart pipes?
I really like the looks of the Stock Black Cross cut end caps.

Does anyone know if Arlen Ness is making black end caps for these pipes yet? I know they make them for the 3.5" version.  I also saw Performance machine has some black end caps available but I would like to utilize the stock ones if I can.

Thanks,

Big B

I doubt the caps fit... but save yourself some coin and replace the stock muffler cores with a set of cores from fullsac.

X2  :2vrolijk_21:  It's what most of us have done with the SESG.

Keep the best looking exhaust system, sounds very nice, increased performance and save the $ for other mods. :2vrolijk_21:

Are the stock baffles easily removable with hand tools or do you have to gut them out to make the fullsacs fit?
Does anyone have any Dyno information available with the fullsacs baffles vs. other options i.e. Rinehart 4" mufflers?
How is is the sound with the Fullsacs baffles? I am looking for a LOUD pipe sound.

Thanks,

thats a negative.  i changed out to RC Xhaust and found that they make "similar" end caps if you want o maintain the same look.

Like they said above-------------Just replace your stock baffles with one of the 3 sizes Fullsac makes . Great sound, great performance , and much more reasonable than buying new mufflers etc. Call Steve, He will tell you exactly how it works, email you a map to retune with (you will need a TTS tuner from him also) . It is a cakewalk. As for the baffle removal ------------you grind out two spot welds in the end of each muffler, knock the stockers out from the other end, install the new bafflles with the stock insulation , put the endcaps back on and you are done.
Now the part that is left out of all this is the fact that there is a catalytic converter in your stock head pipe. Steve has a fix for that too and in my opinion it is a must that you remove yours or buy his catless pipe. You won't be sorry.

Installed Fullsac 2.25 baffles on my stock Krypto.  I had Rush 1.75 slipons on my 07 Fatboy, 09 SG and on my girls 09 Deluxe.  I love the loud crack and rumble of Rush pipes.  I am not happy with the sound of the baffles and emailed Steve at Fulsac about the lack of "loud" with the 2.25 baffles. He suggested I wait until I change the headpipe (no cat) suggesting the sound will increase.   I am geting the Jackpot ceramic header, Mastertune installed thursday with a good dyno tune at Docs Performance in central Fl.  I like the look of the black caps on the Krypto so if the exhaust is a little louder I will leave it. The Fullsac baffles have a good sound deep rumble and wake up when you jump on the throttle just not enough for me.
