The headline was just for dramatic effect. I’m pretty sure this guy wouldn’t be caught dead (literally) on the Dragon with this ride.

I can tell you that riding this machine is an acquired skill; you don’t just get on it and ride off into the sunset. The maiden voyage resulted in a minor challenge keeping it on the road, which was not met successfully.

Improved road manners were achieved by grinding a crown into the tread area of the rear tire; afterwards new tread had to be cut into the tire. I’m told that at least 1 practice tire was sacrificed to achieve the desired result.

I understand this machine has been ridden something like 2 to 3 thousand miles this year! I wonder what the transition between his regular ride and this machine looks like.

The question in my mind is, what purpose could something like this have other than feeding a juvenile desire to be the center of attention? Streaking the neighborhood would do the same thing at a much lower cost, and with much less chance of serious bodily injury (assuming no jumping over hedges while streaking).
