Good to hear that you are done torturing yourself over coming over to the Dark Side.  Red Bikes are the fastest, and Red RGU's are even faster... ;)

Glad you were able to work out a deal to your satisfaction.

Congratulations on the new bike! I also had no intention of getting rid of my 03 AE Ultra, but walked into a dealership, saw the 2011.5 Blue Ultra and the wife and I were smitten at first look.  So, it's not only the demo rides, it's any opportunity where you are bitten by the "gottahaveit" syndrome.

Geeez,   I've got some parts on order that I gotta go to my dealers to pick up later this week or  weekend.  I suckered for the red '09 SE Ultra which is very similar in color to my Chevy street rod.

So I'm hopin' this new red is not one I would like.  Hopefully that and the fact I just can't reallly get into that (58 Chevy headlite look),   should keep me from an expensive mistake.

Congrats...I think? I love tormenting the wife with bike catalogs also but I take it a step further. Any time she sees me looking on Chopperexchange or Ebay at bikes she always says "don't even think about buying another bike"! I have been wondering how the RG Ultra's rode...thanks for the warning! Rule 1: Do not sit on the new bike. Rule 2: Do not ride the new bike. Rule 3: Repeat rules 1 and 2 over and over in my head!

Your warning is all fine and dandy for those who ride a bike first then buy. What about us poor saps that buy the bike before we ride it? I have bought my last 4 bikes (  3 Harley's - 1 Buell ) without riding them first.  :o

How about a guy that goes to a marina to buy his buddy two reflectors for his boat trailer and walks out owning a boat?  :coolblue:

Congrats on the new bike, but easy on the harry homeowner stuff I resemble that remark.  :)  You could of picked Phil or Joe or something ya know.

Hope you had them move over your exhaust upgrades for you as part of the deal.

Thanks so much for the comments. It is funny how this whole thing came 'full circle'. I never expected a freaking demo ride to create so much trouble. Oh well, I learned my lesson.

I will provide some pics of the new scoot over the weekend...if I can pull my arse off the seat.  ;D
