Painting a CVO Fender and Rear Fascia
« on: August 01, 2011, 03:11:45 PM »

Got a local painter that does several HD shops paint here, and I got the Rio Red 2011
bike.  He quoted $375 for the fender and $150 for the fascia, they are a solid Rio Red
not two tone.

Of course because we have no "codes" or matching he says it takes a bit more
time as you have to lay down multiple types of colors in candy to get it to match.

So does that sound reasonable for painting a single fender and fascia?

Earl Shibe can do my whole 77 Lincoln Town Car for $99 LOL

If it was me I would be more worried about the painter getting it to match and not so much how much it costs...IMO.

I do want it to match, just not get taken to the cleaners, and its the first guy I have talked with so
determining a valid base line for for costs is just prudent, IMHO

Yes doing your research is smart. Considering the price of the materials alone I would say that's a very fair price.
