Clutch Hose Help?
« on: July 28, 2011, 05:10:57 PM »

How long is the stock clutch hose on a 2011 FLHXSE2? I need to go 8 inches over what ever it is. Thanks for your help.

From the sizing and part number matrix for Diamondback cables in the P&A catalog stock length for Street Glides is 62.69"  If you're wanting one of the nice looking Diamondback braided cables the +8" cable is shown as 38925-09 and is 70.69" long.

I believe that the Diamondback 38925-09 cable that Twolanerider mentioned is a "cable" and not a hydraulic line. This won't work for your 2011 FLHXSE2 since it has a hydraulic clutch.

I have the same bike, and advise you to check with either Magnum Shielding or Goodridge. I can't find any Harley part number for a longer hyd. clutch line in the Big Book (perhaps there is a table or listing, but I don't see it.)

According to Goodridge, the stock length is 68", so you would need a 76" line for your application. Goodridge has a 75" and 77", part numbers HD1001-1CCH-75 and HD1001-1CCH-77. Go to this page to download the Big Twin application guide: http://www.goodridge.net/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category2_-1_64_10551_32019_retail

Regarding Magnum Shielding, go to the following webpage for custom length hyd. clutch lines: http://www.magnumshielding.com/store/hyd_clutch_result.php?categories_id=9&keywords=*&search_length=&search_end_1_fittings=&search_end_2_fittings=&x=50&y=12

Probably would be best to call and chat with a rep. from either company to be sure you get what you need. Hope this helps ...

Absolutely right.  My brain fart.  Sorry about that.  Lenght info is correct so perhaps that'll still help.
