That RODE as you spell it  :coolblue: is gaining more attention from the crotch rockets because of the police attention the Dragon is receiving.

Yes, I have ridden it several years ago.  Great road.  Really enjoyed it.

A real good ride, Boone,NC to Bristol, Tn. Gets better as you go, Best twisties: Mountain City, Tn to Bristol. Have ridden it may times. 321 Boone to Hampton, Tn is also good.

great ride, liked it way better than dragon. also liked 221, can`t go wrong in that part of the country.

I did it last June and will be there again in 10 days......love it and IMHO it is a much enjoyable and better than The Dragon.....yes i will be going there too.  :bananarock:

We have attended the NHRA Nationals in Bristol, Tn.for the last 3 years, always staying in the Boone, NC area. Have ridden the "Snake" 421 numerous times, Much better road than the Dragon, great twisties, highly reccommend :)

We ride there all the time. The road is more scenic and has a more varied character and cadence than the Dragon. The store in Shady Valley is a nice stop and there is a nice road 133 to Damascus Va. and back down 91 to Mountain City for an extra loop. SR 91 from Shady Valley to Elizabethton has a great first half but the second half absolutely sucks.

had to Google it to figure this one out, found a nice Web Site about 'The Snake".. Certainly looks like one of those 'must do' rides... Wished is was closer to Calif... Pinned in on the Refrigerator as one of my retirement runs..

Been there several times.  "Dot's" in Damascus is a must stop to eat.  She serves beer with scrambled eggs.  I highly recommend this ride.  It's better than the Dragon and not as commercial.
