I am picking up a 2012 CVO Skunk Road Glide at the end of November and I thinking of putting on the Power Duals By Vance & Hines With Rinehart 4 Inch Slip-On Muffler and  Screamin' Eagle Pro Super Tuner.  Any pro's and con's out there on this set up?  What I'm after is a good sound with cool running and strong performing engine.  This is what the Harley dealer is pushing.

What kind of tuning device are they suggesting.  You can't put the entire exhaust system on there without doing something to the original MAP.

What you are talking about doing will work just fine...it's a matter of personal preference.  There are less expensive alternatives that retain the stock look, by using your original heat shields and muffler cans.  Check out Fullsac.  If you are comfortable doing work on the bike yourself, you can save even more $$.

Screaming Eagle Pro Super Tuner

You should be good to go if your dealer knows how to tune the bike.

A lot of folks here use the Fullsac Stage I system...Ceramic coated X pipe, either 1.75, 2.0, or 2.25 inch muffler cores, and TTS tuner with a map provided by Fullsac that actually works quite well.  You'd have < $1100 bucks tied up in that, if you do the work yourself (one of the easiest jobs to do on the bike).  Odds are, your dealer doesn't know about Fullsac products, and they for sure wouldn't want to do the TTS Mastertune.

But there's nothing wrong with the direction you're going, depending on how proficient the tuner is.  You should get better drivability, better throttle response, and some cooling effects.  These big motors are HOT, so don't expect miracles, but doing what you're doing makes a significant difference in several areas.

Hopefully your dealer will also take care of any warranty issues with this upgrade, make sure you are both clear on this. I don't think you can go wrong with either set up. :2vrolijk_21:

I would look at the Fullsac x-pipe ceramic coated over the vance and hines power duals, or the Jackpot pipe.  Both seem to make more torque and hp than the V and H head pipe.  Keeps the stock shields.
