Terry and I were up in Big Bear this weekend and visited the Renaissance Fair. There was a lot of excitement about a jousting demonstration and we went for a look and noticed the folks at Big Bear Choppers were in attendance. Check out this video and you will see its the real deal. Soon this will be recognized as the next extreme sport and will be featured in a series on the History Channel. After the demonstration it was announced that Big Bear Choppers will be making the armor for The Knights of Mayhem. From choppers to jousting armor, you heard it first on CVO.com.  Doc

I really thought this was going to be a video of two motorcycles jousting!  Now THAT, would be an extreme(ly stupid) sport!

Get a kick out of Renaissance Festivals.  The wenches are my favorite.  But it's all good .

Can't think of jousting and Faires without thinking of Knightriders though.  Mostly lame movie.  But it struck a chord.  If are visiting a Renaissance weekend you're home tired with a beer and nothing else going on to help your tired feet relax here's a movie to perfectly end that particular weekend.

When I saw BBC in the crowd that's what I was thinking too,  not on bikes. The horses and the riders were true warriors and put on a good show.

Terry gets a big kick out these fairs, so we went and I wasn't dissapointed...cold beer, wenches with obvious wardrobe malfunctions, and jousting. I'm going to see if this flick is FIOS or rent it at our local video store. Its too hot to ride today so  and watch a flick.  Doc

just attended the Ren. Fest. in Sterling NY this past weekend.  16 years we've been going.  love it.
complete village built on the side of a hill. the comedic skits alone are well worth the admission.

a great movie to check out,  " A Knights Tale "    with Heath Ledger.
