Could someone tell me the difference between my 2005 SE Fat Boy's 103" engine and the 103" on the new model HD's?

Heads are different, 95cc chambers vs. 85/88.   Valve Sizes different, the crank has changed, cam is a 253 in your 05 vs an epa cam, 43mm throttlebody vs. a 50mm on the 11.

The oil passages mate up differently on the 05 the old motors had a cross over line that went to the oil filler.

Add to what unbalanced has said....intake flanges cam plates and tensioners, primary gearing,of course the tranny.oil pump and oiling system.
while the crank is diff in the output splines, the bore and stroke is the same.

Two different animals. Both have potential.
