Nice!  Some of my ancestors (Ragans) hale from County Cork, at the south end of Ireland. 

One question - is there something missing?  It appears to not have brakes, or are thay integrated into the hub somehow?

May have something to do with the drive off the tire as to why you don't see brakes.

Dual purpose,, it must work, but i wonder how well,,  0 to 60 mph  :'(  60 mph to 0  :nervous:
