Spiderman-no offense taken as I'm always willing to learn something new/easier.  I took the forward and rear footboard brackets off the bike attached to the pivoting floorboard (LH) in one piece.  I did not seperate the floorboard from the brackets.   When I removed the primary cover, I took out the two rear floorboard bracket bolts, barely loosened the front bolt and rotated the floorboard and brackets assy enough to get the primary cover out/off..  After I cut down the allen wrench I then took the front bracket completely off with the footboard and the rear bracket and reinstalled the cover.  I did it that way as I was going by the instructions in the MOCO's shop manual.

I aslo removed my front foot board and the bolts are a real pain (especially the front inside one that is a 3/8" allen-cut down an allen wrench to gain access inside frame rail).

Have the M6 and love it. Neutral is easy to find and best of all no more chain adjusting. Oh yea over 20000 miles on it, no problems yet.

will have to bring this back up.

Took out the M6 because with the Baker tranny it kept the primary chain too tight and caused the chain to stretch out.

Replaced the M6 with the stock manual tensioner with a new shoe from Baker

My H-D tensioner was ratcheting up too *$#@%# tight. While in there replacing my compensator, I chose to go with the SOHB Wedge II , it's all good !
