Pipe discoloration . 05 softail 88

I have a crazy problem I have a 05 softail deluxe and I had long shot pipes and on the lower pipe about were the Passenger foot peg is the pipe became  discolored thats from the front head .So I bought new true dual fish tails and had a power commander and dyno done and its doing the same thing in the same place any ideas thanks .

Sounds like the bike needs to be tuned and the front cylinder is running lean. A tune can easily fix that up and "Blue Job" should easily cleanup up the discoloration on your pipes.

Thanks for the reply but the discolored part of the pipe is more like a light brown or golden color were the muffler and head pipe meet .

Gold is even easier to clean with "Blue job" than blue discoloration. The gold color is the earlier phase of oxidation that's caused by the overheating of the pipe. I just cleaned up some gold discoloration at the joint between my headpipe and muffler on my D&D Fatcat. Looks like new.
