LED Brake lights
« on: October 12, 2012, 05:57:38 PM »

Okay so I took my bike to the dealer to install a new rear tire, 10,500 miles. I followed my bike for the first time and noticed only the center LED of the tour pack works with the brake, my brother tells me it used to be all three sections worked for brakes. What is correct?

I traded my 2011 FLHTK for my 2012 CVO Ultra.  On my '11 I had Kury LED turn signals and put in their run/stop/brake controller.  I noticed all 3 panels on the tour pack worked as a brake light and the corner panels activated as turn signal lights.  When I made these same changes (Kury) to my 2012 CVO the corner panels do not activate as turn signals, and only the center panel activates as a brake light.

What MoCo did to make their lighting proprietory (since my run/brake/controller does not over-ride like on the previous model year) I don't know, but there had to be some changes to the wiring harness in the tour pack.

Maybe someone can chime in on this that has that technical knowledge.

Try this link, not sure if they are still for sale but I used it on my 11 CVO RGU.  Also www.ridetimetechnology.com has 2 kits for 09 and later CVO Ultras.
