I purchased a primary chain adjuster a few months ago just to have on hand the next time I was in the primary.  I have 48,000 miles and the original looked pretty good but I figured I would need it eventually, so I picked one up.   The part number the book indicated was P/N 39929-06A, the number stamped on the green nylon part is PA66.  I already replaced the cam chain adjuster last winter.  All the nylon or wear parts that go against the chains are the orange color, is the green just as good?  I would hate to put something on that has already been improved.

Thanks,

Ray G.

Actually Ray there was a later revision to the tensioner, and the current (since 2010) part number is 39929-06B.  They changed the teeth on the sliding shoe for one thing, not sure about anything else.
