My bike (being picked up for shipment today) has Bub7 TDX.  Haven't learned enough to give you any advice yet but will know more in a week or so.  I'll post whatever I find out.

I actually have Bub Straight 8 TDX.  Hot as hell on the right side.  Working on it.

I have the BUB 7 TD on my 02 & 08 SERKs. Good bottom end, great sound @ idle or when you open her up.

Forget any worries about the Bub Straight 8's, with the louder baffles they sound awesome, more like the exhaust note of a hiperf auto than a bike, but still mellow enough so you can hear traffic or music.  Not tinny or "tin can" but deep and mellow.  I frickin' love them.  They are way better than my Rineharts were.

Heat issue was solved by taking off the mid-frame heat deflectors.  May be some other better designed ones out there but those stock onesmake the hot air hit you right in the back of your leg.  It's obvious when you look at them.  There is no where for air moving toward the back of the bike to go but down and out, right onto your leg, the breather, the passenger footboard, etc.

Bub Straight 8's man, I will never go back.
