Not the best day...
« on: October 24, 2011, 04:37:33 PM »

With 6"-8" of snow forecast for Wednesday, today was the day to get the last wash done and put Stabil in the gas tank. Not a happy day any year, but this year is harder.
I've been diagnosed with macular degeneration. I could ride this year, but worry that I may have had my last ride. Hopefully, in the Spring, I'll still see well enough to get some miles.

Moral: Don't put off that big trip. You never know what will happen next week or next month. Glad I rode Route 66 last Fall.

You never know when the big guy will throw in a nice warm day just for the fun of it.

Keep your chin up and your throttle hand ready.

Michael

I am flying to Georgia on Wednesday morning and returning next Monday.  We are expected to see 60 degrees about that time.  Hold off on the Stabil if you can, and I will get with you when I return and we will try to get hooked up for a ride.  I am retired so the only thing I have to ride around is doctor's appointments and the honey do lists.  The wife is a rider also, so I can usually ride around the honey do list.

You don’t stop riding because you’re getting old, but you get old when you stop riding.

Hey Michael sorry to hear about your eye condition.  I said a prayer for you.  I believe in the power of prayer brother.  And good luck, never hurts to have some of that too.

Mike keep your head UP ... My brotherinlaw has this condition also he gets shots in his eyes every two or three months.  This seems to help him to where he can still do things like drive his car teach his students and so on ... The only down side is he
has to stay in the dark after his shots for about five to seven days.  Hope all goes well with whatever you choose

Michael, you shall be in my prayers.  One way or another, I hope we get to ride together sometime.
