Is this from personal experience? I've read that the JIMS 131 is not a good motor for reliability. Just looking for real-world info...

OH Yes,, about three times.. The last two were 'attempted' warrantee fixes on a Jims 131 that scissored after 3K easy miles.   And you can read scores of reviews on a google search with folks with same issues..  There are a couple lucky ones, but only after they modify and fix em...  If you asked me my opinion on a Jims motor, i tell folks to stay away from em...  they all suck !!     And they're all boat anchors too. Jims uses property bolt patterns on their cases, barrels and heads so you're stuck with their crap.. Again,, JMHO from real life experiences.   :'(
