Hi there,

Do the driving lights automatically come on with the ignition, or can you turn them on with the accessory switch?

The reason I ask is that if they do come on with the ignition, they won't last too long as I found out on the Electra Glide I fitted them to.

What happens is that the igniter gets the bulb going, then you hit the starter switch before the bulb has come up to temp the power drops, bulb goes out and fails to re-ignite again. This does not always happen, but the life span is very short in this scenario.

Aftermarket HID bulbs can be very good, or utter rubbish and the success you'll have will vary on the type of headlight you have fitted, and the bulb quality.

(Wish there was some sticker out there that said "Absolutely NOT made in China") Everything seems to be junk or near junk, DOA or DSAA, (Dead soon after arrival)

The driving lights have a separate switch.

What lights are those?  Was not aware HD had those... I have only seen the ones mounted on the engine guard.

MotoLights came out with LED replacement for their lights...

I went with Headwinds (look better, imho) and they use the same bulb as MotoLights, so I will be changing the bulbs for LED in the near future.
